I've got plenty to report...
Our one year well-baby check-up at the pediatrician went great. Edison is 29 1/8 inches tall and weighs 23 pounds, 4 ounces. He is at the 25% for height and 50% for weight. During the appointment our doctor told us that Edison's growth and development is just right and in some areas above where a baby his age should be.
Now that he is one we are trying to phase out formula and get him on whole milk. In addition, we've been adding lot's of table foods to his diet too. Its all been a little too much for his sweet belly over the last week that I need to regroup, slow down and reassess all the foods I'm introducing to see what combos upset his tummy. Also year two is when a baby's diet slows down too because he does most of his growing in year one.
As far as development goes, he is supposed to start his "tantrum" stage soon, which I'm curious to see how this pans out. So far, he is just as social and outgoing as usual. He waves at everyone young and old and our neighbors call him "The Mayor of Golden Court" because he knows everyone on our street.
Also, this wouldn't be a post if Party Baby didn't visit his alter ego Danger Baby! Right now, Edison has gotten into more bonkers than ever before in his quest to walk. This morning he bumped his lip on the coffee table and earlier this week his head. Bums me out!
We are continuing to play at the park and are slowly making more friends his age that we have playdates with. Also in the last few weeks since his birthday, we've gone to the Denver Zoo, The Museum of Nature and Science and The Music Train. He is most happy when he is playing in the back yard with the hose.
At The Music Train last Thursday. This is where infants/toddlers and their parents rock out to music. He really got into it at the end-
Eating corn on the cob-
At the park-
In the backyard (as usual), pjs or not-
In front of the Museum touching a life-size dinosaur that was walking around. He was all bones-
On the way home from the Museum and Steve's Snappin' Dogs-
Family jam at the Highlands Mommies Picnic on Sunday-
Outisde...rain or shine!-
