Week 26: 6 Months Old Today

Edison is six months old today...

Here he is this morning after breakfast in mom and dad's bed-
We had a fun weekend, also celebrating a birthday is Denver! The city turns 150 years old this week.  To celebrate we took advantage of the free day at the zoo!

Here we are getting ready to go to the zoo-
"YAY, the zoo!" Sporting a super-cute smile, Edison seems happy to be at the zoo. He loves the outdoors.
When we arrived, he was sleeping so Jim and I were enjoying the zoo while pushing him in the stroller. He would have slept a long time, but while we were at the hyena area, a little girl came up to where we were reading about hyenas and pressed a button that plays their laugh, I see Edison's feet move and peeked in the stroller...WIDE AWAKE! He was a little startled. Jim put him in the carrier after that so he could have a better view of where we were.

Obviously at this age he doesn't know where we're at, but we were outside on a beautiful day and so he was happy. I could tell that he didn't really see the animals at most exhibits, but it was a good first taste of wildlife for him and I look forward to getting a season pass next year and taking him frequently.

Edison decided eating his sunglasses is much better than wearing them-
More sunglasses, this time they're mine. Do you see the flamingos in the background?
HAPPY SIX MONTHS TO OUR SWEET BABY! WHAT A WONDERFUL TIME IN OUR LIVES!
