All Aboard the Potty Train!

Edison is showing interest in potty-training and has gone "pee pee" in his potty four times since Thanksgiving.

Right around my birthday in October, Edison started announcing to us that he would be going "pee pee" or "poo poo" in his diaper. This is the first sign of potty training, so a week or so later, we bought him a potty and just put it in the bathroom so he could see that its there.

The morning after Thanksgiving he walked up to Jim and said what Jim heard as "party" so Jim was like "party????" then Edison walked into the bathroom and said it a few more times and it clicked he was saying "potty." So Jim took his pants and diaper off and he sat on his potty and went "pee pee!"

You cannot imagine how proud I felt, I wanted to cry. Its so charming to me that he's showing interest in potty-training even though it usually comes at two years or after. We aren't pressuring him to go in his potty, but when he asks, we let him.

He has tried to go "poo poo" on the potty too, but hasn't successfully done it in his toilet yet.
