Edison is in his bedroom now for his daily nap, I can hear him in there singing to himself. And talking about something really important, but I can't quite make out what he's saying through my typing.
We've had a nice day. We went to meet a friend of mine for lunch at Edison's favorite eatery Tocabe where the whole staff knows his name and always bring him his own special dessert after he eats. He really loves it there and is friendly with everyone whether its staff or customers. He has a chicken taco with tomatoes, black beans, lettuce, cheese on it every time he's there. I love his adventurous appetite, he will try anything at least once no matter where we are... he loves everything from broccoli to dal lentil soup to thin mints (thanks to Jim and my Girl Scout Cookie addiction).
We had a good weekend, despite the many battle wounds Edison acquired.
Saturday while at Isabel's for a play date Edison lost his step on their stairs and rolled all the way down them after bonking his head on the top stair. Thankfully there were only four stairs but still a lot of tears were shed. He has a giant goose egg on one side of his head and a bump on his eyelid. Then yesterday at our friends birthday party Edison was pinched on the arm by his friend and it broke the skin so he has a fingernail shaped scab on his arm. And last night our neighbor was over and Edison was showing off and fell off the couch and slammed his forehead on the metal grate on the floor. He has a big bump next to the goose egg with grate marks on it. After talking with the pediatrician today on the phone it sounds like he should heal with no scarring, cuz its pretty "ouchy" looking right now.
But before all the bonkers and pinching, we went to the closing of our friend Andrew's art show at a local gallery. The closing was Saturday morning and there was a pancake brunch taking place to celebrate. While there, my friend Vin was taken by Edison's charm and started taking pictures of him. Here's a few of the best shots (thanks Vin!)-
