Edison is 2 years, 11 months...

This boy is 3 next month!!! Do you like his new haircut? He went to see Lee at the barbershop yesterday!

What to say about this kid... He's a true wonder. Jim and I laugh at the end of the night about how hilarious he is. He is really lovey, independent, full of beans, charismatic, thoughtful, questions everything, handsome, helpful, still learning to share, loves his sister, a chef-in-training, he loves his family, he loves to play in the backyard and at the park. He is also highly intelligent and emotional and so parenting can be tough. We just got the book Positive Discipline and I'm hoping to gain some insight how to better communicate and understand where he's coming from when he has tantrums.

Within the last week, Edison will now go down the corkscrew slide without hesitation and he is brave enough to now climb up some of the tougher ladders too. He can write "MOM" as well. I get a kick out of when he calls me "Alisha."

Snacktime at the Compton house-He got an Easter package in the mail from his chihuahua friends in Arizona! Thanks Sara and Trucker! That's chocolate ice cream on his face, not dirt-Riding his tricycle-Playing peekaboo!-

Come September, we are sending Edison to preschool where he will be learning Mandarin Chinese. Here's a recent article on language immersion in schools.
